PostBold integrates with the LinkedIn API to help users create, manage, schedule, and analyze LinkedIn content. The sections below specifically describe how we handle LinkedIn data in connection with that integration.

  • Content you create: LinkedIn post drafts, scheduled posts, templates, and other content you enter into PostBold

When you connect your LinkedIn account to PostBold, we receive data from LinkedIn as described in Section 4. We only access LinkedIn data after you explicitly authorize the connection through LinkedIn's OAuth consent flow.

4. LinkedIn API Data

PostBold uses the LinkedIn Community Management API and related LinkedIn APIs to provide content creation, publishing, scheduling, and analytics features. This section describes our practices regarding LinkedIn data specifically.

4.1 Types of LinkedIn Data We Access

Depending on the permissions you grant and the features you use, PostBold may access the following LinkedIn data:

  • Profile information: Your name, profile photo, headline, and LinkedIn member identifier
  • Organization/Page data: LinkedIn Company or Organization Page details you manage, including page name, logo, and page identifier
  • Content data: Posts, articles, and other content you create, edit, schedule, or publish through PostBold
  • Analytics data: Post performance metrics, engagement statistics, and related analytics provided by LinkedIn for content you manage through PostBold
  • Authentication tokens: OAuth access tokens required to maintain your LinkedIn connection

4.2 How We Use LinkedIn Data

We use LinkedIn data solely to:

  • Authenticate your LinkedIn account connection
  • Enable you to create, preview, schedule, and publish LinkedIn content
  • Display analytics and performance insights for your LinkedIn content
  • Provide AI-assisted content suggestions based on your preferences and usage within PostBold
  • Maintain and improve PostBold's core functionality

We do not sell LinkedIn data, use it for advertising unrelated to our services, or combine it with data from other users for purposes beyond providing PostBold features to you.

4.3 LinkedIn Data Storage

LinkedIn data is stored on secure servers hosted by reputable cloud infrastructure providers. We retain LinkedIn data only as long as necessary to provide PostBold services or as required by law. When you disconnect your LinkedIn account or delete your PostBold account, we delete or anonymize associated LinkedIn data within 30 days, except where retention is required for legal compliance.

4.4 LinkedIn Data Sharing

We do not share LinkedIn data with third parties except:

  • Service providers: Trusted infrastructure and hosting providers who process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements and only as needed to operate PostBold
  • Legal requirements: When required by law, regulation, or valid legal process
  • With your consent: When you explicitly authorize additional sharing

We do not transfer LinkedIn data to data brokers, advertising networks, or any party for their independent use.

4.5 Withdrawing LinkedIn Authorization

You can revoke PostBold's access to your LinkedIn data at any time by:

  • Disconnecting your LinkedIn account in PostBold account settings
  • Revoking PostBold's access in your LinkedIn account settings under "Permitted Services" or "Apps and Websites"
  • Requesting account deletion as described in Section 10

Upon revocation, we will stop accessing your LinkedIn data and will delete stored LinkedIn data in accordance with Section 10.

5. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain our website and services
  • Create and manage your PostBold account
  • Process and fulfill your requests
  • Send service-related communications and updates
  • Respond to support inquiries
  • Monitor and analyze usage to improve our products

7. Data Sharing and Third Parties

  • Cloud hosting providers for infrastructure and data storage

Your data is stored on secure servers. We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Specific retention periods:

  • Account data: Retained while your account is active; deleted within 30 days of account deletion
  • LinkedIn data: Retained while your LinkedIn connection is active; deleted within 30 days of disconnection or account deletion
  • Support communications: Retained for up to 2 years for quality and legal purposes
  • Analytics data: Retained in aggregated form and may be kept indefinitely

9. Data Security

We implement physical, technical, and administrative safeguards designed to protect your personal information, including:

  • Encryption of data in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest
  • Access controls limiting employee access to personal data

  • Secure OAuth token storage for LinkedIn connections

  1. Self-service: Deleting your PostBold account through account settings at postbold.com, or disconnecting your LinkedIn account in PostBold settings
  2. Email request: Sending a deletion request to contactus@crontechlabs.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and including the email address associated with your account

Upon receiving a valid deletion request, we will:

  • Delete your account and associated personal data
  • Delete all stored LinkedIn data, including OAuth tokens, profile data, content, and analytics
  • Revoke any active LinkedIn API access tokens on our systems
  • Confirm deletion by email within 30 days of your request

Some data may be retained in anonymized or aggregated form, or where required by law (e.g., billing records for tax purposes).

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate our website and services, remember your preferences, and analyze usage. Types of cookies we use include:
